All about Art, all year round, right here on your doorstep. The visual arts have flourished in Canada, no more so than in the heart of our country, Manitoba and Winnipeg in particular. Gifted artists represent diverse disciplines and cultures and similarly craftspeople produce traditional and contemporary work in a variety of media for appreciative audiences. The passion at the heart of this culture inherent in our history and perpetuated in the abundance aboriginal art in many forms. The beauty of all our art is enhanced by the diversity of all those who contribute to our society. Winnipeg itself boasts some 50 visual art galleries, several dance companies, a symphony orchestra, an opera and ballet comparable to any. The essence of life north of the 49th parallel with its inspiring and colourful sunsets. The aurora borealis. The marked difference in weather and climate. All those factors contribute to our incomparable creativity. As a visual artist I find we are blessed with the immense sunshine we are able to enjoy and the quality of light it brings to our lives. In the winter we may be shut-in to an extent, however we do brave the cold to pursue our passions. In the summer we celebrate and enjoy Folk Fest, The Fringe, Rainbow Stage Productions, Open Air performances in Assiniboine Park, the Forks, Theatre in the Ruins and more. The end of summer is celebrated by Culture Days Manitoba, and then as the first snow might begin to fall, we start buying, carving and lighting our pumpkins, not to mention the pies we make. The year is rounded of by choirs at the concert hall, and the Nutcracker performed by our wonderful ballet. Whatever your passion,Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, can help fulfill and drive it further. Take in a show, and exhibit, a performance, an open-air production, or just enjoy the weather. Ludolf Grollé

@WPGNuitBlanche Aspecial project of Culture Days Manitoba. @nbwpg Come and visit Grollé Fine Art in the heart of downtown Winnipeg In my mind, an artist should be always be proud of their creation; and should take every opportunity to have their work seen, by as broad an audience as possible. If art is not shared it remains incomplete. This month at Grollé Fine Art we are hosting aCollective Collaborative as afundraiser for 6artists going to exhibit in Europe. Manny Martins-Karman, Detine, Margaret Switala, Inga Torfadottir, Clyde Finlay and Ludolf Grolle. Collaborative shows are fun in the sense that some boundaries are set that will create acohesive experience in the exhibit, but will still give the participants achance to innovate and show their own character by their unique approach to acommon subject. It evokes the energy of synchronicity and highlights unexpected connections. As visual artists, we are on an infinite adventure to pursue self -expression and step into the endless journey to find our unique creative process. Through this creative struggle, our personalities echo, and it is inevitable that in each work of art that we strive to create, we consequently leave apiece of ourselves. We hope that you will support us by taking apiece of our art, and in turn apiece of our heart, away with you. Please note, earlier this year we acquired some stunning limited edition ?Canadian Nature? fine art prints from a corporate collection. These would grace any home or office and are very reasonably priced collector/investment pieces. We thank you all for coming to our show. The Group Show -afundraiser for our artists -takes place right now, and you are all invited. for viewing times and appointments call 1.204.691.6112. We are now accepting submissions.
