afghan recruits graduate
PhoTo by MCPl JaMes NighTiNgale On Feb. 20, the Kabul Military Training Centre at Camp Alamo near Kabul, Afghanistan reached an important milestone with the 200th parade of graduates from the course for recruits, formally known as Basic Warrior Training. At the parade 1,400 Afghan National Army recruits received diplomas and more than 4,000 Afghan military personnel participated in the parade for the special occasion. This summer, soldiers from Land Force Western Area will deploy to Camp Alamo and other facilities near Kabul.
y will work with military personnel from Australia, Britain, Jordan, Turkey and France to continue training new recruits from the Afghan security forces. For more on this story, turn to page 13.
