rollingThunder speedway in huron, sd. hosted the third weekend of the iKF briggs & stratton Midwest speedway Tour on June 13 & 14. saturday started off with brian brandt winning the Jr. Gas feature over blair nothdurft. The Junior 1 light feature saw Michael nichols take the win over Jacee Gerlach while Gerlach won the heavy feature over nichols. cole ignaszewski won the briggs Jr. 1 animal heavy feature over brandon dolman. dylan lacroix debuted his brand new icon and won the Jr. 2 light feature over hometown favorite cole searing. darrin Zomer won the Jr. 2 heavy feature over lacroix. Zomer picked up his second win of the day in the briggs Jr. 2 animal heavy feature over James suter. Zach humphries dominated the briggs animal Medium feature over skylar prochaska. prochaska then went on to win the briggs animal heavy over brandon hanson. humphries put his icon in victory lane again in the stock Medium ahead of corey Munneke. Todd pudwill earned another win in the local option 206 class over roger bitz. on sunday afternoon brian brandt completed the clean sweep in the Jr. Gas class taking the checkered flag ahead of blair nothdurft. Trey Thesenvitz swept the Jr. 1 classes. in the Jr. 1 light feature Thesenvitz held off Michael nichols and Jacee Gerlach in heavies. cole searing made a last lap pass of chase Morris to win the Jr. 2 light feature. searing then turned around and won the Jr. 2 heavy feature over Kaleb Johnson. Zomer won the briggs Jr. 2 animal heavy feature with Johnson on his heals. in the stock medium class corey Munneke put his #46 icon in victory lane ahead of brentt Mork. skylar prochaska won the briggs animal Medium feature over Jake hanson. Mork went on to win the briggs animal heavy feature over cole sharp. Todd pudwill grabbed his second win of the weekend in the local option 206 class ahead of roger bitz. The points battles are really starting to heat up as the series will take about a month off to allow teams to travel to Texas for the iKF Grand nationals. The next series race is at the aberdeen Kart club in aberdeen, sd.
