In April of 2008, the new North American Rescue facilities were opened. The state-of-the-art 100,000 sq. ft. campus located on 7 acres in Greer, South Carolina is NAR's corporate headquarters housing not only the business offices, warehousing and production area, but also a 20,000 sq. ft. indoor training facility. The NAR training facility has been specifically created to train customers and to test and evaluate products in simulated stress conditions. The multilevel simulation center has been designed with bailout windows, reusable walls and doors for breaching and has been specially equipped with the capability to be heated to over 120?, alter the lighting intensity and generate high volume Construction completed July 2008 interactive noises. The simulation center is also equipped with a video recording system to monitor and document training. The NAR training area also includes an 18' rock climbing wall, 20' fast rope and rappel tower, laser interactive shooting system, confined space tunnel system, off road evacuation vehicles and even a gym. By simulating vibrations and high stress situations for training and product development, we feel we are better able to design and manufacture products that can be implemented properly under adverse conditions.
