AIS launches ?A Guide to Partitions?

AIS will launch its new RIBA approved core curriculum CPD presentation ?A Guide to Partitions? at easyFairs Interior Fit-Out on 5 and 6 May at noon. The CPD presents the benefits, uses and performance of modern partitioning systems and is designed to make the audience aware of the innovative solutions available to specifiers from AIS members. The presentation covers:

The Interior Fit Outs shortlist for the 2010 AIS Contractors Awards has been announced. The judges commented: ?The standard of the entries for this year?s awards is exceptionally high. We produced the CPD in conjunction with a selection of our supplier members, so we have built in best practice and innovation from almost 30 manufacturers. ?In due course we plan to have the CPD presented by both AIS and accredited presenters from the membership, to architects, surveyors and interior designers as part of a programme of continual professional development.? AIS chief executive Simon Forrester added: 'Our aim is to help specifiers turn their vision into reality, assisted by the strength of the AIS supply chain of almost 500 manufacturers, distributors and specialist contractors. This CPD is the latest addition to our range of assistance to architects, clients and designers.' AIS plans to expand its list of RIBA approved material, with CPD presentations for ceilings, drylining and raised access floors. Insight triumphs at MemCom awards

AIS members will shortly be allocated new usernames and passwords for the AIS Member Zone, to allow for the introduction of admin accounts so members can update their company contact details held by AIS online.
