?The rut (breeding season) has begun and soon you'll hear the bull elk bugles echoing throughout the Estes Valley. The males are now beginning to gather their harems of females and the bulls will be busy sparring with other bulls for the attention of the cows. Take caution when observing this phenomenon because the bulls can be quite aggressive at this time. Watch from a distance and never approach a bull elk. They're very strong and pointy!
