Isabelle Morin Elected President of NDP Youth Caucus

New Democrat MP Isabelle Morin (Notre-Dame-de- Grâce-Lachine) was elected Tuesday evening
courtesy of the NDP,
as President of the new NDP Youth Caucus, which unites 22 members under the age of 35. "We are proud to be the largest youth caucus in history. Our voices will defend the issues that affect Canada's youth," said Isabelle Morin. The youth caucus will focus mainly on issues like employ- ment, the situation of Aboriginal youth, and the reunification of immigrant families. "It's also our responsibility to educate youth on the importance of voting and getting involved," added the MP. "I hope we will see an increase in their participation in the next elections."
Minister views Cote Saint-Luc Aquatic and Community Center
Minister Laurent Lessard toured the new $18 million Côte Saint-Luc Aquatic and Community Center on November 4, 2011. The governments of Canada and Quebec provided two-thirds of the funding for the new building, which opened on September 6, 2011 on time and on budget.
