In patients whose tumor is confined to the
lung, surgery is generally the treatment
of choice. This team?s minimally invasive
expertise minimizes trauma, maximizes
outcomes and enables patients to more
quickly return to their normal lives. Although
minimally invasive surgery has been
performed for a number of years, few surgeons
in the United States use video-assisted
thorascopic surgery (VATS) for resection of
lung cancers.
