opened on the Riverside campus of University of Minnesota Medical Center. An affiliation between University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, this new clinic provides traditional dental care for all types of patients as well as specialized dental care for both children and adults who have underlying medical conditions, physical or developmental disabilities or who are afraid of the dental experience itself. Two fathers leading the way to make children?s hospital rooms feel more like home
In fall 2004, two dedicated fathers, David Millington and Brian Schepperle joined forces to create a program called Adopt A Room. These dads shared a unique experience as they both knew what it felt like to spend weeks in a hospital with a sick child.

No place like home
Brian?s daughter, Katelyn Elizabeth, was in and out of the hospital several times during her decade-long battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia before she died at age 11. David?s wife, Dana, spent 63 consecutive days in the hospital with their daughter Madison Claire, who had spinal muscular atrophy. The degenerative disease took Madison?s life when she was only 2.
