South Africa is famed for its wildlife, and conservation is an important industry, bringing large numbers of tourists to the country each year. Despite that, millions of South African still live in poverty. Madventurer offer an opportunity to get involved in Community Building, Teaching and Sports Projects in small township areas on the Western Cape where you will become fully integrated with local communities.Working together with international and local organisations you will be helping to build small houses and improve basic infrastructure for local communities in these settlement areas. Living as part of a group together with your Madventurer Crew Leader, you will work alongside local villagers and skilled craftsmen to complete the Project as well as interacting with local schoolchildren and community groups to create a unique cultural experience. By teaming up with local authorities elsewhere in South Africa, Madventurer offer the chance to become involved in Community Projects in areas linked to conservation.This will involve building and improving local infrastructure to give increased access to wildlife areas, promoting conservation tourism and environmental awareness among the local communities.You?ll work with local villagers and schoolchildren, as well as park rangers and wildlife specialists to help on-going animal conservation programmes.
