Crown wins appeal, Langleib sees justice done

By Dan Delmar The Suburban On the evening of Sept. 13, 2005, an enraged man made his way down to the platform of the Snowdon Métro station and viciously attacked a group of people. Marcia Langleib was the most severely injured, spending two months at the Montreal General Hospital in a coma, suffering a heart attack, and being left with brain damage and broken bones in her face. More than four years later, Langleib is finally seeing justice done. The attacker, Peter Niedzielski, caught a break in April. Judge Isabelle Rheault was merciful, sentencing the man to two years of house arrest. The Crown appealed and asked he be sentenced to four years in prison. On Friday, the Quebec Court of Appeal ruled that Niedzielski should be locked up for two years. He was given until Monday to report to a federal prison. ?I feel that he deserved to be punished for what he did to me,? Langleib told The
