CDN/NDG pledges to maintain NDG Community Centre

Following a top-level meeting with a small group of NDG activists, borough Mayor Michael Applebaum and a select group of borough executives not only promised to preserve the NDG Community Centre's heritage building but they also agreed to maintain the area's local sports and community services. As the president of the NDG's Comité Citoyen, Dominique Barsalou said he was very happy with the results of his meeting with the mayor and his executives. "The borough really seems to be concerned about the citizen's needs and their issues," said Barsalou. "In fact, their [the borough's] swift response to this issue...indicates they're ready to do what's necessary to make sure the building will be renovated and services maintained." See CENTRE, page 2
