"Synergy has changed our lives at our company. They are thoughtful, quick, smart and very knowledgeable!" A fire broke out at about 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday at a building located at 14750 Gouin Blvd. west in Pierrefonds, causing an estimated $250,000 in damage. The building houses several businesses, including Le Petit Castel daycare, which was completely destroyed by the flames. Quebec to help senior care agencies

Deputy Minister says more must be done for Anglo services

By P.A. Sévigny The Suburban Over the next three years, thousands of health-care providers across Quebec will finally get some financial support from a government and a cabinet minister who understands just how much domestic care providers do for those who need their care and attention. "For some politicians, public life is nothing less than a career," said palliative care society president Bernard Riverin. "But for Marguerite Blais, public life is nothing less than a personal mission." As the Charest government's cabinet minister in charge of the family and senior citizens portfolio, Blais told her audience how much her department values the endless work done by an estimated 300,000 home care providers across the province.
