Pledges to run for Lac St-Louis Conservative nomination when election is called
By Beryl Wajsman, Editor The Suburban It has been a heady two days for Larry Smith, the popular President of the Montreal Alouettes and former CFL Commissioner. Smith, who recently announced that he was stepping down from the Al's top job but leaves officially on Dec. 31, was named to the Senate by Prime Minister Harper on Monday. Last night he announced that he would step down from the Senate when an election was called and run for the Conservative nomination in the riding of Lac St-Louis.
