Bialik launches fundraiser
Côte St. Luc?s Bialik High School has come up with a novel way to raise funds for its ongoing expansion project ? offer parents the opportunity to gain naming rights for the school?s mezuzahs, the parchment which is affixed to the door of Jewish homes and gateways. The sale of naming rights will help fund the $3 million second phase of Bialik?s expansion, which includes a second gymnasium, a new stage facility and a renovated Mettarlin Hall. The school is promoting the mezuzah initiative as a way to honour a loved one, or a special teacher. The school also announced that the naming rights to mezuzahs at Bialik?s 78.
