JOHN?S MUD SLURPIN? CHEVY Hi! I?m really excited to send this picture to your magazine of my 1985 Chevy 1/2-ton. I built this truck in 2003. it has a gear ratio of 6.72 with a 400 small block built up with flat top pistons, 63cc double hump heads, 2.02 valves, with a 292 Comp cam and a Edelbrock air gap intake. I put a SM 465 transmission in it. It sits on a 19? lift with 2 1/2 ton Rockwell?s and 51? tractor tires. I won twice a year or so ago in the Open Class at the mud bogs. My truck says Fish Creek Off-Road on it but I call her Gertrude. When I take Gertrude out people just stare as I cut her lose!! John Butler Cameron, WV BEN?S MUD FLINGING CJ This is my 1979 CJ-7 Fish Creek Off- Road Jeep, I built this truck in ?05. It has a 496 motor and puts out 650 hp with a custom, home made 4 link rear suspension and 2 1/2 ton Rockwell?s with 44? Boggers. When I?m at the mud bogs I run Open and Modified classes and I?ve won 3 mud bogs so far. As you can see here in this picture I don?t let no grass grow... I just like throw?n the mud. Dan like?s to show off a lot and see the mud fly?n, but in this picture as you can see, he got more than he bargained for, lol. But he rode it out with a nice recovery.
