Gala for Life
U nder the chairmanship of Susan and Herren Hickingbotham, Gala for Life to benefit the Winthrop P. Rockerfeller Cancer Institute raised over $1 million dollars for the world renowned facility located on the campus of University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Funds will be matched by the state-making Gala for Life a huge success. Former Executive Directors, Drs. Bart Barlogie, James Suen and Kent Westbrook were presented crystal awards by Pat Walker, a long time supporter of the Institute. A wonderful dinner complete with recipes from New Orleans dining establishment, Galatoire's was enjoyed before a energetic crowd engaged in the live auction which included unique trips, jewelry and a Harley Davidson V-Rod. The energy in Statehouse Convention Center Wally Allen Ballroom continued to soar as the Commodores took the stage and entertained guests.
