Failure to not live up to my potential as a father, a friend, as a neighbor. As a child, I was not close to my family. I left home as a teenager and my friends became my family. I have always been blessed by loving my work. I have essentially spent my career in both politics and the arts. Not just because of his life's work, but particularly what he has done and continues to do after he retired from the Senate. WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE FICTIONAL HERO? WHEN AND WHERE WERE YOU HAPPIEST? I was married for nearly 32 years before losing Sally to Renal Cell Cancer. They were years of inspiration for both personal and even professional memories. I have traveled and worked in many of parts of our country and the world. When I land at the airport and drive across the river, I know I am home and it always feels good to be home. Photography by Nancy Nolan HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO DIE? Perhaps of laughing gas at the dentist office. IF YOU COULD CHOOSE AN OBJECT TO COME BACK AS, WHAT WOULD YOU CHOOSE? A mountain.
