Naturally, they couldn't help but wish that Arkansas had the same advantage of all the jobs being brought to the neighborhing state. "In movies, people always think about the actors,? Mary noted. "But there are so many interesting jobs in the film industry, and our wish is that we could have more progams in Arkansas colleges and universities to train young people in all areas of filmmaking.? In their travels Mary and Ted rarely come across any misconceptions about Arkansas. "We just got back from Europe, and I found, as I always do, that when I say 'I am from Arkansas', people are very positive. "They are curious about it and very interested in visiting.? She feels Arkansans need to worry a little less about how we are held in the world. "People like our state!? And we like Mary and Ted. Their relationship with Arkansas is endearing and inspiring. There is no doubt it begins with their deep love and respect for one another. We asked them for their secret on maintaing a solid marriage while balancing the life of Hollywood stardom. Mary humbly responded that she and Ted wouldn't feel qualified to hand out any advice about realtionships. "I'm afraid we have too many failures behind us to feel very confident about that,? she laughed. "What we do know is that when we met each other, we were blessed to meet our life's most cherished, most hilarious, most adored friend and partner.
