Gearing Up to Go
GEARING UP TO GO GREEN THINGS If the girls are still investigating buildings, let them come up with their own opening ceremony! If they?re stalled, suggest they go around their circle naming as many green things as they can think of?peas, lettuce, green thumb, geckos, fried green tomatoes, dollar bills. The girls might like knowing that the color green became associated with environmentalism in early 1970s in West Germany with Green Campaign for the Future, which grew from protests against nuclear power plants.
