Technical Tips Fusores para PE120/Modelos que comparten las mismas partes: Dell - 1600N Samsung - ML-2250, ML-2551N, SCX- 4520, SCX-4720F Fusores PE120 modelos que comparten las mismas partes 126N124 (Xerox vende por $.-) y el PE120 está bajo el numero de parte 126N233 (El precio de Xerox es $.-) Xerox es irregular sobre cuales repuestos de estas piezas estarán en su lista de partes. El repuesto para el rodillo de calor y el fusor de velocidad de la PE16 si se encuentra en la lista pero para la PE120 no. Para las dos versiones, las lámparas de calor, el termistor con sensibilidad térmica tienen repuesto, pero las uñas de separación no. No se preocupe; hay productos genéricos disponibles de gran calidad para llenar estos vacios. Ahora un breve procedimiento para usted. Tocando algunos puntos importantes, lo que le ayudara a evitara problemas en el futuro ya que la instrucciones son muy sencillas. Remueva la lámpara de fusor y colócala en un lugar seguro. El metal plano que tiene 2 tornillos en cada esquina, destornille cada uno de ellos, teniendo mucho cuidado ya que son fáciles de perder. Atención para propósitos de re armar asegure el tornillo del Extremo derecho (al contrario del engrane mayor) y el cable principal que conecta la lámpara de calor. 2. Con la lámpara fuera de la maquina es seguro quitar la cubierta principal, que cubre el termistor de sensibilidad térmica y las uñas de separación, remueva los dos tornillos superiores que aseguran la cubierta principal negra , seguido de la esquina del documento de entrada del fusor (ver foto#3). Xerox is spotty about which pieces of these fusers they spare on their parts lists. The Heat Roller and Fuser Drive Gear are spared on the PE16 but not on the PE120. For both versions, the Heat Lamp, Thermistor, and Thermal Fuse are spared, but the Picker Fingers are not. Don't worry; there are quality generic products now available which fill in most of the blanks. Now for a brief procedure for you. There are only a couple of real gems in the write-up which will help you avoid problems; mostly it's rather straightforward. Fuser Repair/Rebuild Procedure: Orientation: We'll refer to the "Left End? (Geared end) of the fuser and the "Right End? (opposite the geared end). There is also a "Paper Entry Side? and a "Paper Exit Side? (that is the one with the Picker fingers stripping the paper as it exits the Fuser). We'll consider the black plastic cover with the Thermal Fuse and Thermistor in it to be the "Top Cover? although I confess I have yet to see how the fuser is actually oriented in a machine in this respect. 1. Remove the Fuser Lamp and put it someplace safe. Its flat metal contacts are held on by two screws, one at either end. Retrieve the tiny nuts (one at either end) which the screws were threaded into (they will fall right out once the screws are removed and are easily lost). Notice for reassembly purposes that the screw at the Right End (opposite the geared end) also secures a wire which leads to the heat lamp connector. 2. With the lamp out, it's safe to remove the Top Cover Assembly which houses the Thermistor, Thermal Fuse, and Picker fingers.
