46 H I G H R O A D S J u l y / a u g u s t 2 0 1 0 from his many appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Show with David Letterman to his weekly picks segment on the FoX nFL pregame show with terry bradshaw, howie Long and Jimmy Johnson, comedian/ actor/impressionist Frank Caliendo has been all over television in recent years. Known for his "dead on" impressions of al pacino, robin williams, George w. bush, John Madden, Dr. phil, Jack nicholson, Charles barkley and countless others, he also has his own show, Frank TV on the tbs network. i recently caught up with Frank at the Monte Carlo Las Vegas resort and Casino, where he is in the first year of an exclusive 10-year engagement performing five nights a week, and talked to him about his first car. Jim: Who taught you to drive? frank: i guess it was my dad. when i was a kid, he would put us on his lap and let us steer the car around the neighborhood. i grew up in waukesha, wisconsin and took driver's education in high school. when i learned how to drive my dad had a Ford Fairmont, it was burnt orange with a yellowish vinyl roof. i think that'll be hip again pretty soon (laughing).
